Oh my mamma
She wanted a girly girl.
One who wore dresses
And liked to dance & to twirl.
Instead she got me
A tomboy at my core.
I didn't like pink things
Jeans & boots is what I wore.
She loved my anyway
And made sure I was dressed
In the coolest blue denim
And my boots were the best.
Thank you dear mamma
For loving the real me.
For teaching me how
To be the best that I can be. . .
