The low angle makes one be there among the figures that you created. The guy on the left edge especially is awesome...he has a face of Munch...almost like a gollem from the Lord if the rings. Next time when I find these (they often are made by others) it will give me the inspiration to shoot a .....gathering...like this. Thanks for the inspiration and so well done by you !!

Michel I love that you see this in the rocks. . . for me the guy on the left reminds me the offspring of rockbiter (from the Never Ending Story). My viewpoint: When the young rockbiters are "formed" they do not have the full facial "configuration" of their progenitor, hence a subtle but not recognizable imprint of his father... LOL, hope you don't mind my own silly metaphors... I stacked these stones myself, never doing this before now and let me tell you, it was a fabulously fun thing to do... I highly recommend that you try it yourself. The more you try, the simpler it becomes. You might be happily surprised at how calming and wonderful it makes you feel. . . Thank you for taking the time to view this and comment on it. Rhonda....

Artist's Description

Spending the day at San Onofre Beach – Camp Pendleton there were lots of rocks washed up on the shore. I have always wanted to try my hand at rock balancing. This is my 1st attempt and even though they aren’t technically challenging in a “Gravity Glue” sort of way, they are kind of cool. I found as I completed each one the next one got a bit easier. . .

My own photo shot with a Kodak EZS 915 – Post processed in PSCS6 using extreme curves with an overlay DAP layer to give it a slight painterly effect.
