Description
Web of Collective Unconsciousness
Thinking silently, dreaming,
Just beyond the knowing.
You build the web securely
Its blanket continually growing.
The excesses begin to arise,
The seeds germinate at will.
This vegetative elasticity
Drains beyond the window sill.
Too many pressures,
So very many expectations.
Being stuffed into the mold
With none of the explanations.
It goes to the edge,
Pushed almost past the brink.
So close to going over
Unbalanced minds cannot think.
Is someone standing near you?
Expecting to catch your fall?
The intentions become a shadow
Upon the protective web of a wall.
As one you slip on down, silently,
You grasp the smooth, stone shape.
You lean into collective unconsciousness
To the beginnings of your final escape.
a rhonda original 09 Rhonda L Strickland
Where my mind travels at times when contemplation has run its course and fear of reprisal begins to take hold. . .
Like it or not, it will happen and you know it will. . .
A take on depression. . . the possibilities of a genetic predisposition to being bi-polar. . . it runs in the family will it run up behind me one day & envelope my being as it has my mother? The fear is there always. . .
All images are mine. Photograph of Thomas (my brother), a spider web on dead artichokes from my back yard. The abstracts & textures are fractals created in Apophysis 3D Hack (all self made from various included scripts). All taken into PSCS2 & blended with layer masking, overlays & filters native & external including Fractalius.
