Description
On Canvas Wings I Fly a poem by RestLeSsD
Gliding briskly, atop white capped waves,
Seemingly floating through the sky.
The cool refreshment of the constant spray.
On canvas wings I fly.
I sail away from the world,
Into the endless sea.
This is where the past is forgotten
And the day begins for me.
I leave the madness far behind,
No sound but a sea gulls cry.
With the wind pushing me onward;
On canvas wings I fly.

All shot at St. George Island, FLA except the last one which was at Oceanside, CA.
St. George Island is located in the Apalachicola Bay area of Florida of the Gulf of Mexico, USA.
This is a favorite vacation spot for me and my family. We are so thrilled that the horrible oil spill was now capped & we pray that the clean up efforts will continue as the main focus of BP and the US.
There are miles and miles of beaches like this that need to be attended to. . . not just for the beauty but for the ecological and biological threats that the oil spew caused. Especially ones that may not be as obvious but will show up in the future. . . 6-2010
Photo manipulation / painting starting in DAP with post processing in PS-CS2 using assorted textures on blended & masked layers. Used a blended Fractalius layer.
